About the Event
Antigua and Barbuda is hosting and facilitating a Parent & Community Workshop titled “Learning About Teen Self-Harm, and Suicide Prevention for Healthier Families and Communities” through the 2026 Youth Mental Health & Holistic Wellness Access Programme (YMHAP) funded by the Mill Reef Fund.
The Parent & Community workshop is delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs.
We invite: parents & caregivers, teachers, health care & mental health care workers, counsellors, students and community members.
We aim to share with you:
• The differences between self-harm and suicidal behaviour—and respond with compassion rather than judgment.
• Recognising physical, emotional, and behavioural warning signs that a teenager may be struggling.
